The Fool's Idol uses a number of spells similar to those available to the player - though with some subtle variation. My goal here was to retain the identity of these spells, while communicating the increased threat of these missiles. I also tried to highlight subtle environment interaction - like the pews being torn apart by passing projectiles, or the glaring reflection of the magic off of the floor tiles and surrounding environment. Additionally, there were a few callback spells - like the stun traps alluding to the stunning projectiles of the mindflayers - that we were careful not to miss.
