As the final boss in the game, King Allant had to retain the iconic look of his original self, while delivering the grandeur and impact necessary to bring the game to its climax. I tried to play up the duality of his nature through his effects - with the battle between dark and light being manifest in his wings. I also drew inspiration from our earlier designs of soul effects like soul arrow and soul-collection. In the end, Dallas did an exceptional job bringing these effects out in the game.
